Allan Price is delighted to announce his latest Broadway History Course:

Broadway's Best Baritones and Basses - Bring On The Boys!!

This 8-week series will examine the lives and careers of legendary male stars from Broadway’s beginnings to today. Classes will focus on luminaries whose names are etched in Broadway (film, radio, and television) history.

Starting in the early days of Broadway when great vaudevillians led the way, we’ll examine the careers of such stars as George M. Cohan, Weber and Fields, Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, and W. C. Fields.  Next will be performers from the Roaring 20s such as Bert Lahr, The Marx Brothers and Paul Robeson.

The great British stars who shone on The Great White Way included Rex Harrison, Anthony Newley, Richard Burton and Colm Wilkinson.

Broadway’s Golden Age featured dozens of leading men and great comedians, such as Alfred Drake, John Raitt, Zero Mostel, Stubby Kaye, Robert Preston and Robert Goulet. The stars of the last part of the 20th Century include, Joel Grey, Robert Morse, Mandy Patinkin and Canada’s Len Cariou, Brent Carver and Victor Garber.

Not to be forgotten are the current crop of Great Broadway standouts: Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Hugh Jackman, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Of course, there are so many others who will delight you and many who will surprise you.

If you’re interested in music and Broadway history, you’ll enjoy this entertaining course.
