Allan’s
Lectures and Courses Return
Allan’s love of teaching began with his first
full-time job after graduating from University
of Toronto in 1967. Allan taught Geography, English and Theatre Arts. Then
after working in the business world, Allan pursued a full-time career as an
actor, working in film, television and theatres across Canada.
Allan brings all those skills to his lectures and
courses on Broadway History.
Having led Broadway
Melody Singalong for many years, he became interested in researching the
origins of the songs and shows that were featured every week. As the repertoire
expanded to include movie musicals, vaudeville, Tin Pan Alley and popular
recorded music, Allan’s sphere of research also expanded.
Allan has taught courses for The Life Institute (part of Toronto Metropolitan University), Allan Price’s Broadway History, as well
as single presentations for private social or professional groups.
